How do I get Started?

Come in for a chat.  Just because we train people to become the best version of themselves and you are wanting that same outcome there is no guarantee that we are a good fit.   We always book a No Sweat Intro (NSI). This is a chance for us to meet each other.  Have a coffee and chat about your goals, budget and lifestyle. Meet the team. Run through what you need help with and work with the coach to find a package that suits your needs. If at the end of the NSI we both want to work with each other then the journey begins!

Who is AFSCROSSFIT & Nutrition and what do we offer?

We are a Personal Training and Small Group Training (10 Max) boutique Gym. We have been in business for 15 years providing Premium Fitness, Nutrition and Accountability Coaching to the residents of Andover since 2010. We offer:

What do I gain by training with AFSCROSSFIT & NUTRITION instead of on my own?

Training with AFSCrossFit & Nutrition brings you time. We only have one go at life so we want to make sure every minute you are working with us provides ACCOUNTABILITY and RESULTS!. Working out on your own requires huge amounts of motivation, self discipline and equipment not always easy to attain in your garage gym. Our coaches provide the EXPERTISE and the MOTIVATION! Our Program provides the tools to get to your goals safely and efficiently and our COMMUNITY will support you every step of the way!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SIGN UP...

When you join AFSCrossFit & Nutrition you are taking the first step towards the best version of yourself. Healthier, Fitter and mentally tough. It can be daunting starting at a new gym so we take all that fear away.

Step 1 - The ON-RAMP. Everyone that joins AFSCrossFit has five 1-2-1 PT Sessions. These sessions will teach you everything you need to be able to transition into our classes. For some these will be taking you through the fundamentals and building your confidence to be able to do our classes. For the more seasoned Trainers this is a chance to pick the brains of our best coaches and work on your fundaments as well as the more advanced movements. No one is to good to be coached in our opinion.

Step 2 - Goal Setting. Once the 5 PT Sessions are completes we conduct a Goal Setting Session. This is where we dig down into your WHY? Is it to lose weight, get a Pull Up or enter a CrossFit Competition we put a plan in place to start working towards these goals.

Step 3 - Jump into a class. You are now ready to get stuck in and start your journey.

WILL CROSSFIT HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?

By lifting weights, working at high intensity and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone will all help you lose weight. By building muscle you will increase your metabolism which means you will burn more fat for longer after a workout.

If you are not ready for our classes then we also offer Nutrition & Accountability Coaching. Most of us know what a healthy meals is but don’t have the accountability to build the right habits to maintain a Health Lifestyle. Our Nutrition program is a holistic approach that will work with you to implement the right habits to achieve your Weight Target.

HOW LONG ARE CROSSFIT CLASSES?

CrossFit classes are an hour long and made up of three main sections. First there is a programmed warm up, followed by a more detailed review of the movements and a chance to work on individual skills or techniques (known as ‘tekkers’). We then finish off with a group workout (or WOD). The final workouts vary in length but are usually within the 10-20 minute time frame.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO DO CROSSFIT?

Anything that’s comfortable and allows you to move freely. Boardies, Shorts, 3 quarter length pants, joggers, vest tops, t-shirts, hoodies. Layers are a good option, tight trousers (unless they have lycra in them) are not.
